First, we’ll meet in person. This gives each of us an idea of how well we’re matched. During this initial visit, you can find out all you ever wanted to know about me and I’ll get to know you more. I’ll leave my contract with you to allow you all the time you need to make your decision.

Should you choose to work with me, you’ll receive:

Two prenatal visits
During these visits, we’ll work on your birth plan, discuss your fears and hopes, practice coping with contractions, do some non-embarrassing Pelvic Bodywork and address any issues. These meetings look different for every couple I work with.  They are tailored to your individual needs.

Unlimited phone and email contact
Any questions, concerns or conversation you need - I’m here for it.

On call status
Beginning two weeks before your due date until baby is born. During this time I will not travel far from home or turn my phone off. I will strive for order and restfulness in my life to be best prepared for your labor.

Continuous presence at your labor
I will arrive as soon as you feel you need me, whether this is while you’re laboring at home or at the hospital. I will stay until everyone is stable, usually a couple hours after the birth. I can also assist with initial breastfeeding.

A postpartum visit
This occurs about two weeks after baby is born, to allow you time to adjust and assimilate your own experience outside of my version. I’ll fill in any gaps in your memory of the birth and help you process your emotions.

Also
Women who hire me are entitled to a 20% discount on any products. You may have access to my lending library. I can also provide you with referrals to other services you are interested in (postpartum doulas, chiropractors, massage therapists, etc). You can have the peace of mind that I have a sturdy back-up system in the unlikely event that I am unavailable for your labor.

My services are typically paid for by the client. However, insurance companies are beginning to sporadically reimburse claims for Doula Services. I can help you to submit a claim and will contact the insurance company, as well.

Please do not let cost be a factor in deciding whether or not to hire a doula.  If I am unable to work with you, at the very least I can help you get connected with someone who can accomodate your needs.
